Quote by Darkfinal Thanks a lot for your advice. It helps greatly! Do you also use the shape layers for your lines? I used the shape layers feature as my main vectoring tool and the stroke path for my outlines. It's pretty cumbersome. =(
Seeing that you are a professional in vector wallpapers, can you kindly advice me on this matter? Only if it's not too troublesome on your part... I hope. I have also attached my work progress on my latest wall.
Thanks for all the help you have given. =)

Yeah, I use shape layers in general for all my lineart (unless I'm painting it, in which case I use normal brushes XD) - I used to do lineart with paths when I first started vectoring - it was easier and it took less time but the lines also looked quite jagged and sharp in places if I used 1px brush and then blurry if I wanted to use any other brush bigger than 1px. Then I started doing things with shape layers and never went back to Paths again. XD
I made a comparison between Paths and Shape Layers you can see here; I used a portion of Spike Spiegel's hair for it and as you can see, lineart done with Paths looks kind of static, low in quality and leaves little room for tweaking. Plus, it has those ugly blunt edges that look especially ugly when done on hair tips. The lineart done with Shapes looks more crisp and clean and you can do more variations in thickness with them. They take more time since you have to do them on both sides of the lines but yeah, the result looks way better than lineart done with Paths.
Hope that helped. :3

Quote by Darkfinal I see, I did my outlining by using the stroke path feature on PS. Using the pathway on the pen tool, and creating the outlines. The uneven outlining may be due to my scan extraction of the characters and I didnt amend it back. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
You're welcome!
Ah, thought so - stroke path function can come in handy sometimes but it usually creates low quality looking lines - to make your lineart more crisp and clean, try using the Shape Layers option instead of Paths (it's right next to that little Paths square in the upper toolbar when you click on the Pen Tool) - sure, it's perhaps more tedious and takes longer since you have to outline the lines from both sides but the results are definitely worth it. Keep it up!
